Collaborative analysis builds upon the analysis process by including actions to overcome implications inherent in traditional analysis.
With this said, collaborative analytics can be identified as an analytic processes in which analysts work together to cooperatively achieve shared or common goals. Collaborative analytics entails data sharing, collective analysis and coordinated decisions and actions.
The goal of traditional analytics is to discover answers and make decisions. Collaborative analytics shares these goals but looks to achieve more – to increase insight of pertinent business facts and to help the alignment of decisions and actions across the entire business.
