The new millennium saw the emergence of a new type of business – a business with entirely new business model, new processes, new technologies and new ways of interacting with customers. Data was the underlying disrupting force. The customers quickly adopted and preferred the new business model. This in many cases led to either complete abandonment or severe disruption of the traditional business model e.g. Netflix eliminating Blockbuster, Uber disrupting taxi business etc. Apart from using new business models, new technologies and new ways to interact with customers, the digitally transformed businesses had something else going for them – they were all digitally born! They did not carry legacy thinking, legacy systems and legacy processes.
How can traditional organizations transform their business? This session will discuss the role of culture, operating model and technologies to bring about a complete turnaround.
