Simon Hunt – Product Management & Analytics, New Data and Digital Business Models at BMW of North America, LLCSimon heads the Product Management team at the BMW Technology office in Chicago. The group focuses on enhancing the Mobility experience for BMW owners and drivers, allowing them to bring their personalized digital experience into the car and beyond. Key touchpoints to the experience include a iOS and Android smartphone app, wearables, IPAs and in-car features but a central part of the service is the Open Mobility Cloud which applies Machine Learning and Personalization as well as integration with partner services.
Prior to working at BMW, Simon headed up Consumer Insights and Engagement for Xpress Browser Services at Microsoft and Nokia. The service was built up from scratch to support 100M monthly users on Nokia handsets across the world, providing both browsing and personalized recommendations. Nokia acquired the technology for the cloud based browser from Novarra, a 10 year startup where Simon held the position of CTO. Simon holds multiple patents related to distributed browsing technology and user experience.
Erin Overly – Global Marketing Innovator, Former Sr. Dir. Global Innovation at Mondelēz InternationalErin has almost 20 years of experience with diverse categories and brands from Trident to Triscuits to tools to tobacco. Most recently at Mondelez International, she is credited with singlehandedly building, connecting and inspiring a global community of over 400 people across regions and functions in innovation. She has successfully led teams through strategic pipeline planning for growth, global integrated marketing planning, and new business model development and the case for change. In doing so, she became an internal change agent at three different companies helping them change the way they think about and do innovation through capability and positive culture building.
Ha Phan – Principal UX Architect at HOMMA, IncHa Phan was formerly the product owner and Principal UX Designer for Storytelling at GoPro. Ha focused on driving innovation and strategy through design experiments for video editing in both 2D and 360, resulting in many patents. Currently, Ha is the Principal UX Architect for Homma, a startup focusing on Artificial Intelligence that enables the holistic experience for smart homes. While most of the IoT solutions focus on individual devices, Homma partners with home builders to have the solution built-in from the blueprint stage.
Roy Barnes – President Blue Space Consulting; Customer Experience and Performance Management Expert; Former SVP at Marriott Vacation Club International; Author of “Customer Experience 365”Roy has more than 25 years of experience leading work teams and delivering world class results in both the profit and non-profit sectors. During Roy's executive committee role at Marriott Vacation Club International, the company's revenue grew from $400M to $2.5B over six years. As Senior Vice President for Customer Experience Development, Roy managed the introduction and execution of multiple process and strategy management tools that focused MVCI on building a sustainable operating and strategic infrastructure. In the non-profit sector, Roy helped several of the nation's oldest conservation organizations with operation and development strategic planning, leadership team alignment and goal setting. Margret Schmidt – VP Product Development & Chief Design Officer at TiVo
Margret Schmidt is TiVo's Chief Design Officer, and Vice President of Product Development. She leads the engineering and user experience teams for domestic and international TiVo products, including DVRs and set-top boxes, and iOS, Android, and Web apps. Margret has been with TiVo since 2001, and holds 13 patents.
Margret is an alumna of UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She has a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Television, and has been named one of the Most Powerful Women in Cable for the last seven years. She is a YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women honoree, and one of Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence. Margret serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern California chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications, and the Advisory Council for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. Michael Dain – UX Design Director at Aquent; Adjunct Lecturer at Northwestern UniversityMichael is a Cannes award winning User Experience Designer, Educator and Strategist. He has 20 years experience imagining and delivering innovative user experiences for companies such as Leo Burnett, Salesforce.com, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Purina, NTT America, Myer Australia, Coca-Cola and Nintendo.

Anjali Desai – Sr. Director of Design, User Experience Group at SAP AribaAnjali Desai is the Sr. Director of Design in the User Experience Group at SAP Ariba. She is passionate about user centered design solutions, which are scalable globally, brand aligned and a delight to the end-user. She tries her best to follow her design mantra: S.I.P. 2 DELIGHT Simple + Intuitive + Purposeful = Delightful Design
Prior to joining SAP Ariba, Anjali worked at Intuit, PayPal, Oracle, E+Y, Adobe and other Silicon Valley companies managing multi-disciplinary user experience and design teams.
She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Art and Multimedia and B.F.A in Applied Arts and Typography.
Paige Bennett – Senior UX Researcher at Weight WatchersPaige Bennett currently leads User Research for Weight Watchers/Wello. Paige began her career as a TV Journalist for ABC New Orleans. After leaving the newsroom, she moved abroad to Oman to conduct user research and content strategy throughout the Middle East. After Oman, she moved to Austin to work for Dell, where she led strategy for Dell's Corporate Social Responsibility program, "Powering the Possible."
Paige moved to San Francisco in 2013 and has spent the past two years consulting for startups throughout the Bay Area. She is originally from the New Orleans area and loves a good shrimp po'boy.
Amanda Linden – Head of Design at AsanaAmanda is responsible for product and marketing design at Asana, and also the Asana brand. Prior to Asana, she was the Design Director for Intuit’s small business division. There, she led the redesign of Intuit Quickbooks web and mobile products, and also managed their payroll and payments experiences. She was previously a Director of Design at Yahoo! on the platform team. Amanda has an MBA and a BS in visual communication from UC Davis.
