Matt Armstrong – Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Hotwire.comMatt Armstrong is the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Hotwire.com, a subsidiary of Expedia Inc. Matt has spent over 4 years leading the FP&A for various points of sale and brands within Expedia, specifically Expedia Canada, Expedia Australia, Expedia Latin America, CarRentals.com and Hotwire.com. He has also built up his ecommerce FP&A experience at the eBay Classifieds Group and Workopolis, and strategic planning at Bell Canada. Early in his career, Matt was a software engineer at a start-up bought by AOL/Time-Warner and a lecturer in SE at the University of Waterloo. Matt holds his Bachelor and Master of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University, and is a licensed CPA in the province of Ontario.
James Myers – Finance Consultant, FP&A at Hewlett-PackardJames brings over 15 years’ of international controllership, FP&A and sales operations experience in high tech to HP. A thought leader with a track record of leveraging technology to solve problems, James has a strong methodology he employs for driving business value to develop high performing finance teams in multi-cultural, cross functional organizations, his insights benefit the organization. With an emphasis on value creation, his expertise spans the core facets of finance and operations, insight generation, strategic alignment, go-to market strategies, sales operations, project management and change management. Motivating and leading high performance finance teams while attracting, recruiting and retaining talent, James believes in culture competency. In his spare time, he mentors and advises early stage startups and is a program organizer for the Silicon Valley Startup Leadership Program. James is a certified Chartered Accountant and earned his Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

Merenbach has a wealth of experience in financial management in both small and large technology companies. Prior to iCracked, he was Principal Financial Officer at Jawbone, where he helped raise over $300M in capital as the company transitioned from an audio-centric company to a focus on wellness devices. Prior to Jawbone, Merenbach advised several start-ups as an interim CFO, COO or board advisor and spent 14 years at Intuit in various executive roles including VP of Finance for various divisions.
Merenbach received both his BS and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a proud father of three beautiful, accomplished woman and loves to travel the world with his wife of 29 years.
Dan Root – VP and Head of People Analytics at Bank of the WestDan Root is a Senior Manager at Bank of the West, leading the organization’s Workforce Analytics Program and projects to improve team effectiveness. He is formerly a manager at Deloitte Consulting, where he managed finance transformation and organizational effectiveness projects. His prior technology industry experience is in FP&A, where he built and managed teams, implemented FP&A processes, and coached team members to improve the level of business advisory and strategic financial support for corporate, sales, and functional executives.
Juan Porter – President and Founder at TopDown ConsultingJuan Porter has over 25 years combined client, vendor, and consultant experience with Oracle Hyperion. He is a member of the Oracle Hyperion Partner Advisory Council, he is actively involved in various Hyperion user groups, he has served as the chair of Hyperion’s National Steering Committee, and he has led many Hyperion enhancement committees.
Juan is the president and founder of a leading nationwide consulting firm, which serves over 400 of the Global 2000’s largest and best performing companies. Industry analysts, editors, and authors frequently seek his expertise on the future direction of EPM, current Hyperion releases, as well as insight into strategic and practical ways to solve business problems. Juan has authored articles for publications such as SearchOracle.com, CIO Insight, and Enterprise Applications. He is the Chairman of the OAUG Hyperion SIG and is also a regular presenter for OAUG, ODTUG and other industry groups.
Mary Loomas – Senior Controller, World Wide Revenue and SMG Risk Management at IntelMary Loomas leads Intel’s Global Revenue team responsible for revenue forecasting, accounting, and risk management. Prior to this role, Loomas led a financial planning transformation and system implementation program for Intel. Loomas started at Intel in 1994 and has held many finance & IT roles, including Finance Information Systems Director, SAP G/L Implementation Program, Corporate Marketing Controller, Cost & Inventory Manager, and Technology Development Finance Manager. Loomas left Intel in 2004 and started her own artisan chocolate company in 2005. She returned to Intel in 2011 to run the Financial Planning transformation. She has a BA in Management Science from UC San Diego and an MBA in Finance from LMU.
Jesper Hybholt Sorensen – Senior Finance Director at OracleJesper Hybholt Sorensen is the Senior Finance Director at Oracle leading the global business finance organization for the Managed Cloud Services Business. He oversees strategic planning, forecasting, reporting and financial analytics. He is formerly of Dupont where he led the global finance teams for the Biotech Division responsible for Performance Management including being the financial lead and owner of the Forecast, Budget & Strategy Process, Competitive Intelligence Financial owner and Lead Analyst. Jesper has extensive experience as a Financial Business Partner supporting a large number of Executive Vice Presidents with optimizing financial performance. During his carrier Jesper has also worked in China and Denmark, has studied in Denmark and Belgium and holds a Master Degree in Economics.
Gary Angel – CEO at Digital MortarWidely considered one of the leading digital measurement experts in the world, Gary recently launched a new venture focusing on digital analytics tracking and strategies in the physical retail space. He previously led EY’s Digital Analytics Practice from 2013-2016. EY acquired Gary’s previous company – Semphonic – in March of 2013. As Semphonic’s President and co-Founder, Gary led Semphonic’s growth over a 15 year period from a 2-person practice to the one of the leading digital analytics practices in the United States.
