Margret Schmidt – VP Product Development & Chief Design Officer at TiVo
Margret Schmidt is TiVo's Chief Design Officer, and Vice President of Product Development. She leads the engineering and user experience teams for domestic and international TiVo products, including DVRs and set-top boxes, and iOS, Android, and Web apps. Margret has been with TiVo since 2001, and holds 13 patents.
Margret is an alumna of UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She has a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Television, and has been named one of the Most Powerful Women in Cable for the last seven years. She is a YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women honoree, and one of Silicon Valley Business Journal's Women of Influence. Tim Smith – Competitive Simulations at Aurora WDCTim specializes in designing business wargames for a broad range of client companies across the globe. Tim’s broad background in Wargaming comes from his extensive experience in the U.S. Army Intelligence community, where he designed, developed and implemented numerous joint-service military training exercises.
Tim also spent 13 years working in the business sector where he has conducted over 200 wargaming sessions for Fortune 500 companies. Tim has successfully trained facilitators from companies such as 3M, Amgen, Dow Corning, HP, Kimberly-Clark and Medtronic to run their own games internally.
