Carrie Zakson leads Competitive Intelligence for Walgreens Boots Alliance, the world-re-known global healthcare company based in Deerfield, IL. Carrie was hired to establish the Competitive Intelligence role within Walgreens in 2008. She is now an integral part of the Walgreens Boots Alliance Corporate Strategy organization, responsible for optimizing the utilization of company and industry insights across the global enterprise. Carrie is the primary information source to decision makers for external industry or company research, and first stop for strategic project teams to identify how to close knowledge gaps to support strategic decisions. Prior to joining Walgreens, Carrie was a Competitive Intelligence Manager for Motorola Mobility, another Chicagoland company, where she first learned and practiced the trade with existing Competitive Intelligence experts. Outside of work Carrie spends as much time as possible with her husband who loves Cross-Fit, 14-year old daughter who is obsessed with gymnastics and 12 -ear old son who plays travel baseball and basketball. Carrie runs, bikes and swims as much as possible to clear her mind and just move. Carrie is always ready to tackle what’s never been done before.
